Due to the overwhelming need for even more tarmac space to run our specialty programs and to expand our vehicle operations base, VDI West has moved its operations/ driver training /facilities to Pomona Fairplex. We are now at the same facility/location as the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department EVOC program. That means we've got lots of room to drive hard and provide our students with the most realistic driving conditions possible. Only 35 minutes from Los Angeles International Airport.
Developing the ability to react positively to demanding or hazardous driving situations requires a clear understanding of the capabilities of the vehicle, the liabilities of the environment, and the abilities of the driver. Our goal is to train drivers to effectively assess each of these elements in order to reduce potential risks. In addition, we develop the driver’s skills to deal with emergency situations and utilize the vehicle to effectively circumvent dangerous situations The ultimate goal is for each driver to be able to demonstrate the ability to control the vehicle under demanding conditions. Utilizing state-of-the-art testing equipment, we can reliably evaluate each driver’s skills during training.
